How to remove skunk spray from your cat or dog and even clothing or bedding.

My Yorkie Chaos got sprayed by a skunk and I had remembered that my mother was telling me a story of her dog getting sprayed by a skunk.When she went to the vet he told her bathe the dog in listerine mouth wash and be careful not to get it in the dogs eyes or ears. As I was getting ready to wash Chaos (my dog) in the Listerine I thought to my self. The skunks spray is an oil gland and essentially it was spraying and oil of some sort. How many of you remember how they used Dawn dish soap to get the grease off the ducks when there was that big oil spill? I started to think, How about if I use the dawn dish soap and the Listerine together and guess what? It works!! Not after the first was but by the second wash he was skunks spray free!! As per my bedding because he got on it as soon as he came in from being sprayed. I used dawn dish soap and 2 cups of apple cider vinegar in the wash and it was gone totally. I used about 3-4 of those big cap full and about 1 tablespoon full of Dawn dish soap. Remember my dog is a Yorkie. So you will have to adjust it for your dog size. Good Luck!!
