Who else has been quarantined? So I’ve been in quarantine since 11/12/20. I’d been exposed to someone who I work with that tested positive to COVID19.

OMG! I’ve been exposed was all I could think.. Shit just got real! I was scared and panicked and flooded with so many emotions. I thought how could this be happening? I’m careful, I wash my hands and I maintain my distance. I started to make myself crazy. I had know symptoms.

I work as a nurse and know that I could be exposed potentially on a regular basis. How crazy is it that it was happening to me? I worked on 11/11/20 with someone who I work rather closely with, who complained of having a headache. She even jokingly said “how crazy would it be if I had covid19?” I said to her “why would you even say that?” This was after sharing pretzels from the same bag. Which she replied that headaches are one of the symptoms. I never gave it a second thought.

The next day she called me to say she was COVID19 Positive and that I should get tested. I thought I was going to start crying because all I could think about was OMG I don’t want to get sick and die… I’m not ready to leave my family. I in all actuality started to panic. I made my way to Emergency One to get a rapid test which was negative. I was relieved but only for a moment. I couldn’t help but to think about the symptoms. I felt myself going into a tale spin with wonder and worry and none of it was any good.

My every waking thought was am I starting to show signs? I have a headache maybe this is it. I wasn’t living in the moment. I was scared. It has been an emotional roller coaster. The New York State tracing people called me to let me know that I’d been exposed. I told them I knew and had been self quarantined. They ask questions about your health and any preexisting conditions. They also send me a text everyday to ask if any symptoms have started and to date none. I had my second test done on 11/19 which was not a rapid test and I have heard nothing as of yet.

While I am fortunate to be able to work from home, it feels like my freedom has been taking away from me. All I’ve done is think about “what if I get it?” “Do I have what I need to care for myself”? Then I remembered what I learned so many years ago. Stress kills your immune system. I didn’t/don’t want that so instead of meditating for 1 hour a day, I started to do it twice a day to relieve myself of stress and I started to take this vitamin (see below) to keep my immune system healthy. I have today 11/24 and 11/25 and my quarantine is over. Thank God!

Here is my take away from this. It is REALLY important to listen to what is being said. I got comfortable and was pulling my mask off while I was with my friend/coworker. It’s easy to do. She had no symptoms and she had been so careful when I was around her so I just never would have believed it. There are people walking around with NO symptoms and are just carriers of this COVID19. So please wear your mask and wash your hands and distance when you can. IT’s so IMPORTANT!.

Click the link below and try it out. This is what I’ve been taking to support my immune health and I have not tested positive and have NO symptoms. Thank you for your love and support.

This is Day 65 of quarantine!! Can you believe it? I never thought I would witness such a thing in my life time.

Some people have very little, while others have more. In all things be grateful. Try and see the good in all things. I know it’s easier said than done. I do it daily. I keep a gratitude journal of all the things I’m grateful for. For me when I look back at the things I was grateful for about a year ago and look at it today. Totally different. I’m alway thankful for love and kindness first and the peace and understanding second. A year ago I was thankful for more of the material things. Now don’t get me wrong ,I’m still thankful for those material things but they aren’t on the top of my list any longer.

It is my belief that this has been a total reset…. A time to get a fresh start. most won’t see it that way but think about it. If there were things that you’ve been wanting to do but because of work and the hustle and bustle of every day life, you just never had the time.

I have made it my business to come out of quarantine a better version of myself. If you can only do small things like read and learn something new. Start a blog, write a short book, learn a language. You see where I’m going with this? Do what you can to help better yourself.

I hope this helps someone, anyone and everyone!! Until next time. Stay safe and blessed!

Fight The Fight!

While we all do our part and stay inside and away from others as to not catch Covid 19.

Here is one of the things I’ve been doing for a while and still do.

Lemon ,Ginger Root, Cayenne Pepper

Lemons are so good for you and your Immune system. Did you know that Lemons have antiviral properties that will help fight of colds, flu and viruses. Plus all of these things contain antioxidants which boost immunity and help you get over colds and viruses faster.

You will need 6-8 Lemons juiced

1/4 teaspoon of Cayenne pepper. This is pretty safe to eat but if you take blood thinners or blood pressure medication check with your doctor before trying.

3 inches of Ginger Root. Which is about 3 thumb sizes. That’s how I do it. Ginger is good for the immune system bottom line and good for brain performance. That’s reason enough for me to use it.

Now you may not have these little shot cups and that’s fine because I don’t always use them. I use a glass jar or something with a lid just don’t put it in anything metal just because of the lemon. I also freeze it in Ice cube trays and use 1 or 2 cubes depending on how daring I’m
I take the lemons and juice them. I peel the Ginger and toss that in the blender and put the Cayenne Pepper in. When I put a cube in about 16 oz of water. Drink up! Another thing I do is blend the ginger with a little bit of water so that if I want to make Ginger Root tea I get a cube and pour hot water over it and add little bit of organic honey and drink slow. The ginger doesn’t dissolve but no worries just eat it because it’s so good for you.I’ll insert a picture of the ginger in cube form below.
Both of these things and stay in freezer for 6 months.

These things I tell you are things I have tried on myself. So like anything else check with your doctor if you are on any medications more specifically blood thinners or blood pressure medications because of the cayenne pepper.

Take care of yourselves and remember I go to work for you, so please stay home for me…Thank you

Hey Everyone!!

I know it’s a crazy time for us all. Especially me, I’m in the health care field and it’s no joke. I don’t know about you guys but I don’t even want to turn the television on because I’m so sick of hearing about Covid 19 and at the same time I want to be informed about how they are managing it. So I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t. I continue to do all the things I post, to keep myself healthy. I’m surprised how many people just aren’t taking this seriously. I want to shake them and show them people of all walks of life that are fighting for their lives. Even my own children ask me how serious this is? I tell them it’s no joke. I can’t tell people enough to wash your hands. Keep your hands off your face and stay home where you are the safest.

So what is everyone doing while quarantined? I know those of you that have children need to home school them, so my question to that is how long did it take to come up with a routine? Is everyone adapting well? What are some of the things you do when your bored? What is everyones mind set? When do you think this will be over? I’m going to log in everyday and write a short something so I feel connected with you all. I am ever so grateful for each and everyone of you.

I respect you all and I think if we stay together and talk to one another we can stand strong as a unit. I will always be here to chat or show you things I’ve learned or just show you some of my photos I’ve taken. Again I’m blessed and Grateful for you all. Please give me some feed back and let me know where your from. I’ll write back.
