Here is how to make the tea.
Pomegranate Peel Powder
Get 2 nice size pomegranates and wash them well with a vegetable brush. Then you going to open the pomegranates up and take out all of the pomegranate seeds You can juice them or toss them in a salad or put them in your favorite cereal. The uses of pomegranate seeds are endless. Once you’ve cleaned all the seeds out take the peels and place them on a paper towel and spread them out. Leave them to dry for a few days. Depending where you live will determine how quick they dry out. The peels need to snap when you try to break them. Once they are dried you can put them into your blender or coffee grinder, I have a ninja and I used the single serving glass. It turns into a fine powder. Take that powder put it into a airtight container to keep the moisture out. You can take 1 teaspoon of the peel powder and put it into a loose tea ball holder. Put boiling water into a cup and put the tea ball with the pomegranate peel powder in it right into the water. Let it steep for about 5 minutes you can dunk it a few time but nonetheless let it steep to get the most from the peel powder. After 5 minutes take it out of the water add organic honey to taste and drink. The other way to get peel powder is to buy it already made.
Heart Health And Cholesterol
Drink the above twice a week for heart health to keep plaque from building in arteries. Lowers bad cholesterol.
Prevents Collagen break down in the skin
. Mix 1 teaspoon of peel powder and 4 tablespoons of milk. It will be kind of thin the mixture. Rub it on your face and let it dry. Rinse off and pat dry. So this twice a week to keep your skin looking its best.
. Steep the peel powder for 10 minutes and gargle and spit out. It will soothe and ease the throat pain.

Water fasting is all the rage but it’s nothing new at all. It has been around for many years and it’s dated back to the Bible. Only now people are starting to see the health benefits of water fasting.
It is said that some of the benefits of water fasting is that it helps reduce weight and it clears up your skin, lowers cholesterol and helps with diabetes. It’s like a reset for your body. Let me say for the record that you should never do any long fasting without consulting with you primary care doctor and you should never stop your medication with out getting the okay from your doctor either.
Fasting is good for you. I personally did a 3 day water fast. No food just water. No vitamins just water. NOTHING! The best way that worked for me was I had a high fat breakfast and then started my fast. The reason for this was fat burns slower than sugars or carbohydrates so the high fat breakfast sustained me for most of the first day. Once you get through the first day the hunger pain stop. Remember to drink plenty of water like a gallon a day just so you don’t dehydrate. This is very important. On the second day I felt tired and I had a slight headache but didn’t take anything. I came home from work and wanted nothing more than to sleep until I could eat but that wasn’t the case. I stayed up until 9 pm went to bed and woke up in the morning feeling like I was in a tunnel almost. On my third day I was alert and focused but still feeling weak but I continue to drink water. When my fast was over I was scared to eat because I had read about different ways to break the fast and I wasn’t sure which to do. I started with a cup of tea. Then a couple hours later I had a cup of bone broth. Funny thing is you don’t even want to eat. Try to start eating healthier. Make a few lifestyle changes. You’re worth it.
Some of the things you should do while fasting is relax as much as possible because in the beginning of your fast your body will burn carbohydrates and sugars first and then burn fat to sustain your brain and organs. If you get dizzy or lightheaded you can add salt to your water. While that did not happen to me I’ve read that it could happen and that is what they did. 1/4 of a teaspoon of salt to 16 oz bottle of water should fix it. They say some people had flu like symptoms that came and went but totally cleared up after the fast was over.
Never do a water fast with the intention to just lose weight because unless you change your eating habits the weight won’t stay off. What is collagen? It’s a protein that our body needs to support healthy bones,joints,skin, and hair just to mention a few. Collagen is essential for mobility. At around the age of thirty you start losing collagen and your body starts reacting to the loss by skin losing its elasticity for one thing. Your nails become weak or brittle. This is a lot of work but if you want to know what’s in your bone broth then I say make it or you can buy it in the supermarket already prepared. The other option is you can buy the collagen peptide powder and add 1-2 scoops to any hot liquid or cold liquid. You can add it to a smoothie or your hot cereal. Heck you can add it to soups or stews. You don’t even taste it. It’s unflavored. I started taking it because my hip would hurt occasionally at night while I slept and as soon as I started taking it in a matter of 2 days it wasn’t hurting any longer. I was taking it in the morning in my tea but I thought it may be more beneficial to do it in the evening with my tea. My skin looks clearer and my hair doesn’t seem to be falling out as much. I use to struggle with my weight. I never was able to put it on and I’m sure you’re thinking “this is not what I thought it was about ” hold on because as soon as I became pre menopausal that’s when I couldn’t get rid of it. I had this stubborn belly fat that drove me crazy. I didn’t mind having the extra weight every where else though. Shoot it looked good. Lol. I did sit ups, crunches even rode my bike. Nothing seemed to work. Then I started investigating different options. I drank green juices and apple cider vinegar and although they suppressed my appetite I knew I needed more so I read and searched for more options and here is what I came up with Ceylon cinnamon is excellent for burning fat but it also good for your arteries. Every now and then we all gravitate to one particular perfume. We all have several bottles but for whatever the reason maybe, we got a lot of compliments or we just really are loving it more at the moment. Mine this past week has been Nest Fragrance Black Tulip. It’s earthy but clean smelling and to be honest I’ve never smelled anything like it. I wear this in all seasons. You know there are those you can wear in the summer and then there are the winter fragrances but this one is an all year round kind of fragrance. With today’s busy Moms and Dads it’s hard to always stay on top of household chores especially when you have children and everything that they are involved in. Not being able to stay on top of the chores causes you to have a feeling of disorganized chaos. I find when the chores are done I don’t feel like things are snow balling out of control. Maybe you don’t feel that way but however it makes you feel I’m going to give you 5 tips to help you out. This is however after you’ve done a deep clean. By deep clean I mean get rid of clutter and organize your space. Once that’s done here is what works for me.
1. Make sure everyone has a chore! No one should be without a chore unless they are under 3 yrs old. It teaches children responsibility and care takers shouldn’t be cleaning alone you don’t make the messes so it’s a shared responsibility.
2. At the end of the day when the homework is done and before bath time get the kids in a habit of picking up their toys and books and putting them in their designated place. While they are doing that make sure the kitchen counters and table are cleared of things that don’t belong and dishwasher is loaded and started. This will give you a fresh start in the morning.
3. Make sure the floors are free of shoes and sweep the floors. Run a mop over floors. If the floors don’t need it then by all means skip that.
4. In the morning empty the dishwasher so it’s ready for later. After everyone is ready go to the bathrooms and take a bleach wipe and wipe down the bathroom sink and toilet seat.
5. Once a week dust everything. I usually do this on a Friday night or Saturday morning just to be done with it. I also do laundry really early on Saturday morning leaving Sunday for church and dinner and getting ready for the week ahead.
